Promptify Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Promptify browser extension and related services used to provide user-selected image prompt generation, optional AI image generation, sign-in, guest access, usage credits, cloud history, favorites, order status synchronization, and support features.

1. What Promptify does

Promptify helps users generate, manage, and reuse AI prompts from images they explicitly select on web pages. Users can right-click an image, start a Promptify generation task, review generated prompts, edit or copy the result, save records to history or favorites, and optionally use prompts to generate new images.

Promptify supports multiple prompt formats, including general prompts, Midjourney-style prompts, Stable Diffusion-style prompts, and structured JSON output where available.

Promptify does not automatically analyze all images on a web page. The core image analysis flow starts only after the user explicitly triggers Promptify on a selected image or uses a related extension feature.

2. What data we collect and handle

Depending on which features you use, Promptify may collect, process, transmit, or store the following categories of data.

User-selected image and website content: selected image URLs, limited page context needed to identify the selected image, image element data, image metadata, source page information, and in some cases image data or a visible image region needed to complete the requested generation.
Account, guest access, and sign-in data: account identifier or user ID, guest account state, email address used for email verification sign-in, display name, nickname, avatar where available, and authentication session state.
Prompt content, history, and favorites: generated prompt text, structured prompt data, edited prompt text, selected output mode, language, format, image reference information, history records, favorite records, timestamps, and record metadata.
Usage credits, quota, and product activity: free credit balance, paid credit balance, usage counters, credit ledger records, generation task status, completion state, cached generation results, selected generation model, image ratio, and related product settings.
AI image generation data: prompts you provide or select from saved records, optional negative prompt text, selected image generation model and aspect ratio, generated image result URLs or result metadata, credit cost, and task status.
Order and payment-related data: order number, selected package identifier, credit amount, order status, payment status, purchase timestamp, and credit-grant or entitlement delivery status. Promptify does not store your full bank card number, payment password, Alipay password, or equivalent sensitive payment credentials.
Website analytics and engagement telemetry: page views, landing page path, referrer host, UTM parameters, anonymous visitor and session IDs stored in the browser, CTA clicks, FAQ expands, and scroll-depth events collected on Promptify public website pages.
Technical and security logs: request timestamps, service status, error types, diagnostic information, and information needed to maintain service stability, prevent abuse, and investigate security issues.

3. How we use data

We use data only for Promptify's single purpose and directly related user-facing features, including:

generating AI prompts from images explicitly selected by the user
showing prompt results in an overlay, task sidebar, popup, or history page
supporting prompt editing, copying, saving, favorites, search, and export features
maintaining guest access, sign-in state, account information, and credit balance
synchronizing history, favorites, usage credits, and credit ledger records
providing optional AI image generation from user-provided or user-selected prompts
creating purchase orders, checking payment status, and granting purchased credits
measuring public website traffic, installation funnel performance, and engagement with public product pages
preventing abuse, troubleshooting errors, and maintaining service reliability

We do not sell user data to third parties. We do not use user data for personalized advertising, retargeting, unrelated profiling, credit evaluation, or loan eligibility decisions.

4. When we share data

We may share data only when necessary to operate Promptify's core functionality, including with AI inference, prompt-generation, image-generation, authentication, email verification, payment, order-processing, cloud hosting, storage, database, and infrastructure service providers.

We may also disclose data if required by applicable law, for security reasons, to prevent abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Except for these limited operational cases, we do not sell or broadly disclose personal data.

5. Browser permissions and local storage

Promptify uses browser extension permissions only to provide its visible product features. Context menu permissions allow Promptify to show a right-click menu on images. Active tab, scripting, and host permissions allow Promptify to identify the selected image, display overlays or sidebars, and support the user-initiated generation flow on different websites.

Promptify may store local extension data such as authentication session state, guest access state, cached prompt results, task state, credit snapshots, account snapshots, settings, history previews, favorite previews, or metadata. If you uninstall the extension, local extension storage is removed from your browser environment, subject to browser behavior.

6. Data retention

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the relevant feature, maintain service integrity, support users, prevent abuse, or comply with legal and operational obligations.

Local cached data may expire automatically or be removed when the extension is uninstalled.
Saved history and favorites may remain until you delete them or stop using the related account service.
Order, payment status, credit ledger, and entitlement records may be retained for support, fraud prevention, and accounting needs.
Public website analytics events may be retained for product analysis, funnel reporting, abuse prevention, and operational debugging.
Technical logs may be retained for service reliability, security, and abuse-prevention purposes.

7. Security

Promptify uses HTTPS or other secure transport for network communication involving personal or sensitive user data. We take reasonable steps to protect account state, prompt records, order state, credit records, and other service data from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and controls

Depending on the feature you use, you may be able to use guest access or sign in, sign out or switch accounts, edit generated prompt text, delete saved history records, delete favorite records, export supported history records, stop using payment-related or image-generation features, or uninstall the extension to remove local extension data from your browser environment.

9. Limited Use disclosure

Promptify uses personal or sensitive user data only to provide or improve its single purpose and directly related user-facing features.

Promptify does not use or transfer user data for personalized advertising, interest-based advertising, unrelated profiling, credit evaluation, or loan eligibility decisions. Promptify does not sell user data to third parties.

Promptify does not allow humans to read user data except when you explicitly request support and provide consent, when necessary for security, abuse prevention, or troubleshooting, when required by law, or when data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

10. Remote code disclosure

Promptify does not execute remote code. The extension runs the JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other assets packaged with the extension version submitted for review. Remote services may return data such as account state, credit balance, prompts, history records, payment status, or generated image results, but they do not provide executable extension code.

11. Children's privacy

Promptify is not designed for children. If you believe we have handled a child's personal data improperly, contact us and we will review the issue.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and publish the revised policy at the same public URL or replacement policy URL.
